I would really like to thank Bill Rini for covering our blog again. He had a couple comments on the blog and one was he wanted to know the best way to bust out of a tournament. I would have to say the best possible time is to bust out on the bubble. (If you want maximum dissapointment) At least when you bust out first you can convince yourself in your mind that you had no chance anyway…. But what better time then busting out on the bubble when you know where so close but also so far from making any money. It has happened to most poker players (including me) and I would have to think it happened to our biggest blog fan Bill Rini. So Bill when is the best time to bust out of a tournament? (If you ever do?!?) I would like to know from a professional player… Maybe we could even make this a carnival post and get even more people involved in this riveting poker subject.
Well from a strictly financial point of view, busting out first is the best. You can immediately jump into a cash game, and in many cases, make more money than the guys who bust out just in the money.
